A decade after captivating players as a minigame in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Gwent has been reimagined as a fully realized physical card game. Developed by No Loading Games and published by Hachette Boardgames, Gwent: The Legendary Card Game is now available for purchase, offering both longtime fans and newcomers the opportunity to experience the strategic depth of Gwent in a tangible format.
The tabletop version includes over 400 cards featuring new artwork inspired by the digital game. Players can choose from five factions, Northern Realms, Scoia’tael, Monsters, Skellige, and Nilfgaard, each with unique abilities and strategies. The objective remains the same as in the original: winning two out of three rounds by deploying units and using special abilities to outmaneuver opponents. The game accommodates one to five players and offers multiple modes to suit varying levels of experience, from pre-built beginner decks to advanced custom deck-building and competitive tournament formats.
Each game set contains 436 faction cards, 10 aid cards, four tokens, four gem tokens, a score-tracking board, a paper game board, and two rulebooks. The standard edition is priced at $45 USD, while a Deluxe Edition, featuring premium components and limited availability, is priced between $200 and $250 USD, with shipping expected to begin in early 2026.
This physical edition aims to capture the essence of the digital Gwent experience, blending strategy, bluffing, and resource management. By translating the mechanics of the popular in-game card game into a tangible format, Gwent: The Legendary Card Game offers an engaging and immersive way for fans to interact with the world of Geralt of Rivia, whether competing solo, against friends, or in organized play.
