Pokémon GO’s popular Wild Area event will return in 2025, bringing a host of new content and exclusive features for trainers worldwide. Scheduled for November 15 and 16, the event will run from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM local time on both days. Tickets are priced at $11.99 USD, maintaining the same cost as last year, and come with several in-game bonuses, including increased chances to encounter Shiny Pokémon, access to a special research story, and additional rewards.

The 2025 Wild Area event introduces Impidimp and its evolutions, Morgrem and Grimmsnarl, all making their Pokémon GO debut with Shiny variants available. Impidimp can be found in the wild or hatched from 5 km Eggs during the event. Players can evolve Impidimp into Morgrem using 25 Impidimp Candy, and subsequently into Grimmsnarl using 100 Impidimp Candy. In addition, new Shiny Pokémon debuts include Unown W and Hatenna, giving collectors fresh challenges and opportunities to complete their Shiny Pokémon roster.

Trainers will also encounter Mighty Pokémon, powerful creatures appearing in the wild. To improve capture rates, Niantic will provide event-exclusive GO Safari Balls, designed specifically to enhance the chances of catching these rare Pokémon. Adding to the excitement, Team GO Rocket will return to the Wild Area, bringing Shadow Legendary Pokémon Darkrai and Cresselia. Both will be available in Shadow Raids, with Shiny versions also obtainable during the event.

The event will feature two themed habitats: Lurking Dark Hour and Fanciful Fairy Hour, each offering unique Pokémon encounters. Ticket holders will gain access to an exclusive Special Research story, allowing them to focus on either Dark- or Fairy-type Pokémon. Completing this research will reward trainers with one of two in-game medals, further enhancing their collection.

All trainers, regardless of ticket status, will benefit from event-wide bonuses. During event hours, players can receive up to three free Raid Passes per day by spinning Photo Discs at Gyms, and the daily Max Particle collection limit will increase to 1,600. Ticket holders enjoy additional perks, including an increased chance of encountering Shiny Pokémon, double Catch Candy, and half the Hatch distance for Eggs incubated during the event.

With its combination of new Pokémon, rare Shiny releases, Mighty Pokémon, Shadow Legendary encounters, and exclusive rewards, Pokémon GO’s Wild Area 2025 promises an unforgettable experience for trainers around the globe. Whether aiming to complete a Shiny collection, catch rare Mighty Pokémon, or tackle Shadow Raids, the event offers challenges and rewards for every player.
