First Update Patch Notes for Hollow Knight: Silksong Revealed

Team Cherry has released the first major post-launch update for Hollow Knight: Silksong, version 1.0.28470, focusing on early-game difficulty, mid-game economy, and various bug fixes. The update is available on all platforms as of mid-September 2025, with PC players able to access it immediately through the public beta branch on Steam and GOG.

Early-game adjustments aim to make the experience more accessible for new players. The difficulty of early bosses, Moorwing and Sister Splinter, has been slightly reduced, while the damage dealt by Sandcarvers in the Blasted Steps has been lowered from two masks to one. Additionally, the pea pod collider has been slightly enlarged to improve hit detection and gameplay fluidity, enhancing combat responsiveness.

Mid-game progression has also been rebalanced. The prices for Bellway and Bell Bench in Act 2 have been reduced, lessening the need for extensive grinding. Rosary rewards from relics, psalm cylinders, and courier deliveries have been increased, making progression more rewarding and easing the economic strain on players.

The update addresses several bugs and quality-of-life issues. Players can now avoid remaining cloakless after the Slab escape sequence, complete previously unfinishable wish operations such as Infestation Operation and Beast in the Bells, and access courier deliveries in Act 3 without issue. Craft bind behavior has also been corrected when interacting with memories, ensuring smoother gameplay.

This update demonstrates Team Cherry’s responsiveness to community feedback, enhancing the early and mid-game experience without compromising the game’s core challenge.
