Activision has officially confirmed that Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will open its beta period in early October, giving players who pre-order the game or subscribe to select Game Pass tiers the chance to experience the title ahead of its global launch. Early access to the beta will begin on October 2, 2025, while the public open beta will run from October 5 through October 8, allowing a wider audience to test the game before release.
Players can qualify for early access in several ways. Those who pre-order the game digitally through the Microsoft Store, PlayStation Store, Battle.net, or Steam will automatically receive entry into the beta. Physical pre-orders through participating retailers will include a 13-character code that must be redeemed, with codes typically provided on receipts or sent via email for online orders. Game Pass subscribers—whether Ultimate, Console, or PC, will also gain automatic access to the beta without needing to redeem a code, making Microsoft’s subscription service one of the most convenient entry points.
The official launch of Black Ops 7 is set for November 14, 2025, across PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. The game will also be available on Game Pass from day one, reinforcing Microsoft’s commitment to integrating the blockbuster franchise into its subscription ecosystem. With early access opportunities and cross-platform availability, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated releases of the year, giving fans both a chance to prepare for the battlefield and a glimpse of what’s next for one of gaming’s most enduring series.
