A fan-made mod, Catalogue Improvements, has breathed fresh life into Red Dead Redemption 2 by meticulously overhauling its clothing system. Launched on August 30, 2025, by creators iAbokai and Suika, with assistance from Kristiand3, Pixiev, Xuruthor, and Boah1907, the mod enhances realism and immersion through sweeping visual fixes and stylish additions.

The update tackles pervasive clothing clipping issues with remarkable precision: gloves now rest naturally, scarves drape correctly over bandoliers, and straps conform snugly to characters. This attention to detail dramatically enhances the game’s sense of authenticity.

Beyond technical fixes, the mod enriches character customization through new content: a variety of bow tie styles, additional working-glove colors, fresh outfits, and even entirely new items such as lanterns. These additions inject meaningful options into Arthur Morgan’s wardrobe, ensuring items feel both varied and fitting for the Western setting.

The improvement extends to John Marston, whose appearance has now been refined to distinguish him more clearly from Arthur. The mod restores previously unused beta assets, like unique head models, open-style vests, and equipment, and introduces new hair models adjusted to suit his distinctive physique. Players can now purchase his complete outfit sets spanning chapters 1 through 6, alongside exclusive Arthur-themed attire inspired by unused content.

Even mounts benefit from the upgrade. Owned horses now display horseshoes and restored rifle holsters on their saddles, ebbingly subtle details that reinforce the game’s commitment to realism.

Mod users should note installation prerequisites: it requires Lenny’s Mod Loader and ScriptHookRDR2 & Asiloader. Once installed, the “.asi” files and the “lml” folder are simply dragged into the game directory and ready to go.
