Fortnite’s competitive landscape may soon undergo one of its biggest transformations yet. A recent leak suggests that Epic Games is preparing a wide-ranging overhaul of Ranked Mode, with features designed to deepen progression, sharpen competition, and expand player engagement.

According to the information shared, the potential update would introduce a dedicated ranked shop with exclusive rewards, along with a weapon mastery system that ties challenges and achievements to specific weapons. A countdown timer for Ranked resets could also be added, offering players a clearer picture of season cycles.

Other proposed features include expanded career profiles for tracking performance, practice modes to help players refine their skills, and both global and friend leaderboards to boost competition at multiple levels. The leak also points to social matchmaking, connecting players with similar playstyles, as well as additional limited-time modes integrated into the Ranked structure.
