Genshin Impact is preparing for one of its biggest updates yet, as Version 6.0, titled “Luna I: Song of the Welkin Moon: Segue,” launches on September 10, 2025. The update introduces Nod-Krai, a new region located on the southern frontier of Snezhnaya. Known as a rugged and culturally diverse territory, Nod-Krai is loosely overseen by the Voynich Guild and is set to provide players with fresh landscapes, lore, and exploration opportunities.

The update also brings a wide range of new weapons. At the forefront is the five-star “Nightweaver’s Looking Glass,” a Catalyst designed to enhance Elemental Mastery and reaction damage. In total, players will gain access to nine new weapons, including signature five-star options and seven four-star additions. Five of these four-star weapons are tied to Nod-Krai’s craftable arsenal, while the other two will be obtainable through quests and limited-time events, expanding the possibilities for both free-to-play and dedicated players.

To support the new Lunar Reaction combat mechanic, two artifact sets will debut in Version 6.0. One set emphasizes CRIT Rate and boosts damage output for characters focused on Lunar-based DPS roles, while the other enhances Elemental Mastery to benefit support units aligned with the Lunar system. Both are expected to significantly reshape team compositions and strategy.

Alongside new weapons and artifacts, three characters from Nod-Krai will join the roster. Lauma, a five-star Dendro Catalyst user, specializes in amplifying Lunar-Bloom reactions. Flins, another five-star addition wielding an Electro Polearm, is tailored toward Lunar-Charged mechanics. Complementing them is Aino, a four-star Hydro Claymore user who will be offered as a free reward, ensuring all players can experiment with the new reaction system.

Version 6.0 also arrives just in time for the game’s anniversary, bringing with it celebratory events and reward packages that will further entice the community to return. Between the unveiling of Nod-Krai, the addition of nine new weapons, two powerful artifact sets, and three fresh characters, the update represents one of the most significant expansions to Genshin Impact in recent memory.
