Fans of Battlefield 6 recently got a glimpse of one of the game’s most anticipated launch maps, Sobek City. The leak features early gameplay footage from a map set in Egypt, blending a desolate desert environment with tightly packed urban combat zones.

In the footage, the map reveals itself as a mid-to-large scale arena filled with collapsed structures, broken walls, burnt vehicles, and scattered debris, creating a challenging landscape rife with opportunities for strategic positioning. Infantry players will be rewarded for cautious, cover-based navigation, while vehicles can push through open roads and plazas, provided they stay wary of ambushes from higher ground and tight corners.

Adding to its immersive realism, the leak displays prominent visible damage on tanks and other armored vehicles, echoing a design hallmark from Battlefield 4, where attacks leave discernible damage marks.

Sobek City joins a broader roster of maps scheduled for launch. Among them, Mirak Valley stands out as one of the largest maps, evoking the scale and vehicular warfare of classic Battlefield titles like Caspian Border, while others like Manhattan Bridge and Siege of Cairo emphasize close-quarters infantry combat. At release, only a minority of maps, possibly three out of nine, will support the full range of vehicles including tanks, helicopters, and jets, sparking community debate over Battlefield’s shifting scale and pace.

The full game is set to debut on October 10, 2025, across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
